Who knew Carie and Steve were going to fall in love! Carie met Steve over a decade ago through sailboat racing. They worked together as crewmates in regattas and the offshore delivery of Steve's yacht 'Bogey' from Newport, Rhode Island to Hampton, Virginia. Over the years, Carie and Steve traveled on separate life paths within the sailing community. Their paths crossed again in a very meaningful way in 2025. With lots of love and the good Lord working in their lives, Steve and Carie have been celebrating the 'Best Day Ever' each and every day they are together. Carie and Steve are elated to have you join them in celebration of their love, their beautiful community of family and friends, and the beginning of a life united together.

We highly encourage our out of town family and friends to stay at this location. Its a beautiful 3 block walk in downtown Hampton along the Hampton River over to the church, HYC reception, and our home. If desired, you can extend your stay, arriving earlier or staying later, and enjoy the same rate. The link (and block code) expires Wednesday August 26, 2026 at 5:00pm (eastern). Reservations can still be made based on the hotel's available space. Details from the Hotel: Featuring views of the Chesapeake Bay and a marina, this Hampton, Virginia hotel is near the Virginia Air and Space Museum and offers 2 on-site dining options and modern guestrooms. The Hampton Marina Hotel provides all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay, including an outdoor pool and a 24-hour fitness center. Free wireless internet access and a gift shop are also available on-site. Guests at the Hampton Marina Hotel can enjoy upscale dining for lunch and dinner at the on-site Regatta Grille. The seasonal Oyster Alley is also on-site and offers views of the water along with casual meals for lunch and dinner. Langley Air Force Base, Norfolk Naval Station and Hampton University can be found only a short drive from the Hampton Marina Hotel. A variety of local shopping centers, restaurants and entertainment options are also nearby.
